The Courses at 621VGS

Gliding Induction Course

Part One:

Over 3 flights or 20 minutes you'll experience your first flights in a glider. After getting used to the feeling you'll be shown the instruments and how the elevator is used to pitch the aircraft by moving the control column. You'll also get time to practice what you've learnt.

Part Two:

Over 4 flights or 25 minutes you'll spend time revising what you learnt on your GIC 1 course. You'll then be shown how the ailerons make the aircraft roll by using the control column. You will be given plenty of time to practice both pitch and roll.

Part Three:

Over 5 flights or 30 minutes you'll spend time revising what you learnt on your GIC 1 and GIC 2 courses. You will then be shown how the aircraft yaw's when the rudder is moved using the pedals. You should now be able to fly the aircraft once in the air.... ....with a little help.
