621VGS were visited on Friday morning by the winners of a Gliding Competition held at Royal Wotton Basset School. The competition required pupils IMG_1177to design, make and fly model gliders and also do presentations on the principles of flight. The winners were then offered the chance to visit 621VGS to learn more about the full size Viking Glider.
The pupils were given a full briefing and given the chance to sit in the aircraft and have the controls and instruments explained by 621VGS instructors and to ask questions. The instructors were very impressed with the level of knowledge shown by the pupils..

Many thanks to the staff who took time off work on Friday morning to help make this an exciting learning experience for all the pupils and teachers who attended.
