The Queen and Prince Philip attended the Cadet 150 event at Wyvern Barracks Exeter on 11 March 2010.

Around 1000 cadets were on parade from the Air Cadets, Army Cadet Force and Sea Cadets in the centre of the main parade square at the barracks. Around the outside were displays from each of the cadet forces. As well as the glider from 621VGS were Sea Cadet sailing dinghies, an army cadet climbing wall and the Air Cadets new mobile activity unit.

Prince Philip was first to visit the aircraft. Sqn Ldr Dave Woolcock introduced Flt Lt Nick Blake, Flt Lt Adam Clarke, Fg Off Phil Woods, CGI Andy Tricky and CGI Gavin Summerell. The Prince was interested in how squadron staff managed to put so much time into voluteers as well as holding full time jobs.

A few minutes later The Queen visited the aircraft looking inside the cockpit. She recognised the type of aircraft from similar civilian aircraft that had landed in the grounds of Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
