CFS award Excellant overall for 2nd year!

CFS visited 621 over the weekend 5th and 6th September to examine 621 and awarded Excellant overall.

Central Flying School visit each squadron once a year to ensure that the Squadron is operating to standard. The CFS instructors check nearly all aspects of the flying operation, from personal log books and log sheets to supervision on the airfield as well as individual flying standards and instructional technique.

Last year 621 VGS was awarded an “Excellent” in Flying Instruction, the first for a Viking VGS. 621 have been rewarded for the year round efforts put in by the staff by being awarded an “Excellent” in flying instruction for the second year running. Again this year the CFI, Flt Lt Brian House, worked hard to ensure that everyone completed the daily paperwork correctly throughout the year, and again was rewarded with an “Excellent” in this area.

The CFS report details a few areas that the squadron needs to improve on and no doubt these will be looked at and corrected in time for the visit next year to ensure that the squadron achieves another “Excellent” overall.
